Mark Hoppe, Managing Director
Mark has more than 17 years of experience working in the insurance industry. His career began as a broker in 1997 where he then moved from an assistant broker role to the position of NSW State Manager.
His career at Atradius began in Sydney in 2006 as the Head of Client Service, which saw him responsible for all the day to day client and broker issues. In 2011 he transitioned into the role of Head of New Business for Atradius Australia. In October 2012 Mark then moved to the USA to take the role of Executive Manager Global NAFTA. He then became Managing Director for Oceania August 2014. Based in Sydney, Mark holds an MBA from the University of Technology.
Cees Boertje, Finance & Control, Asia Pacific
Cees Boertje started working for Atradius in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) as Director Control in 2000. Before moving to Sydney in 2004 he worked for 2 years in Cologne (Germany). Based in Sydney, Cees is responsible for Finance in Asia-Pacific and the India and Dubai region. In addition he is responsible for Controlling and Compliance in Australia and New Zealand. Cees completed a Master Degree in Business Economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is also a registered Chartered Accountant (RA) in the Netherlands. His working career started at one of the “Big Four”. Before moving to Atradius he worked 11 years for the dredging and construction company Royal Boskalis Westminster NV. For this company he worked in various roles in the Netherlands, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Paul Daniele, Head Of Sales & New Business
Paul Daniele manages the New Business team at Atradius and is responsible for business development across Australia. Joining Atradius Credit Insurance N.V. in 2012, Paul has more than eight years of experience after working in various commercial trade credit roles at QBE Insurance Australia, most notably where he held the role of National Underwriting Manager - New Business. Paul is a member of ANZIIF and maintains a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance & Accounting) and Arts. Paul, who is based in Melbourne, has wide breadth of experience from working on structuring major deals for large multinational corporations down to privately owned and operated SME operations. While having exposure across a number of industries, his expertise focuses primarily with steel, construction, infrastructure and heavy industries.
Mary Ibrahim, Head of Client Services & Account Management
Mary Ibrahim heads the Client Services and Account Management teams in Australia. Mary, who is based in Sydney, has over 20 years’ experience in credit insurance. She graduated from Sydney University with an Economics Degree and Macquarie University with a Master’s Degree in Economics and International Finance. Prior to this Mary worked at the Export Finance & Insurance Corporation (EFIC) responsible for various roles in the credit insurance business and ending by developing a new product for the SME sector. She moved to Atradius following the divestment of the EFIC business in 2003. She has worked in all areas of the credit insurance business including product and business development, claims, risk underwriting, and account management.
Rupa Jagannathan, Head of Client Services VIC, SA WA
Rupa Jagannathan heads the Client Services team in VIC, SA, TAS and WA. Rupa began her credit insurance career with Atradius in New Zealand in early 2007. Prior to this Rupa had extensive banking experience within both Retail and Business Banking with HSBC and Westpac. Rupa managed the existing client base in New Zealand and was responsible for business development and broker relationships in NZ before moving to Melbourne in late 2011 to take up a Senior Account Management role. Rupa’s field of expertise includes Relationship Management, Risk Management, Policy Underwriting, Sales and Coaching. Rupa, who is based in Melbourne, is a highly driven professional and is solutions focussed. Rupa holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is a qualified Cost Accountant.
David Lloyd, Head of Claims & Special Risks for Oceania, Asia Pacific & Africa, India & Middle East
David Lloyd manages the Claims and Special Risks teams both here in Australia and remotely throughout the Asia Pacific region. Based in Sydney, David has a Master’s Degree in Financial Management from the University of Glamorgan, United Kingdom. David has over 25 years’ experience in the Trade Credit Insurance industry and has occupied senior management roles in Risk Underwriting, Special Risks Underwriting, Recoveries and Claims for the Oceania and Asia Pacific, and has recently taken on responsibility for Africa, India and Middle East. Special Risks relates to “Higher Risk” corporates and recoveries so his expertise in the corporate analysis, debt recovery and insurance law is certainly beneficial.
Anthony Rasera, Regional Human Resources Manager, Asia Pacific
Anthony Rasera manages Human Resources for the Asia Pacific, India and Dubai region. Anthony holds a Labour Economics degree from the University of Wollongong. Anthony has worked in Human Resources for over 20 years within a number of different industry sectors. He has spent time working in Europe, Hong Kong and Singapore. Anthony commenced with Atradius in May 2010 and is based in Sydney. His responsibilities extend to over 10 countries and 220 employees. Anthony sits on the Atradius Leadership Team.
Hannah Walters, Head of Risk Oceania
Hannah Walters manages the Risk Underwriting Team in Australia; remotely managing those in Perth and Brisbane. Hannah is responsible for managing the Loss ratio across the Oceania Region as well as ensuring the Risk Team balances an “Enabling Trade and Managing Risk” approach to their underwriting to meet the ever increasing customer expectations. Hannah joined Atradius Credit Insurance N.V. in 1997 and has underwritten in both the UK and Australian Markets across a wide range of industries and managed teams in both markets; this brings more than 19 years of Trade Credit Experience. Hannah is based in Sydney and is a voting member of the Asia Pacific Credit Committee and sits on the Australian Leadership Team; she has a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Finance.
